The first multisectorial forum called “Towards a new national law on weapons” took place in the premises of the Uruguayan Parliament. 

Between the 14th and 18th of July, Pablo Dreyfus participated as a member of the International Action Network of Small Arms (Iansa) in New York in the Third Biennial Meeting to review the execution of the Program of Action. His role in such meeting was to advice Iansa members on issues related to management and elimination of small arms and light weapons surpluses. 

Colonel Marcelo M. Montaner, Chief of the National Arms Register of Uruguay since 2005, tells us about the Uruguayan regulation mark on the issue of arms and ammunition. He offers useful information on the different aspects which specify the juridical and administrative regulation on arms control in Uruguay.
